Pear & Raspberry Crumble

This super easy to prepare crumble is low fat, healthy and has a low GI rating. The entire family will enjoy this recipe


  • Oil spray
  • 4 pears washed cored and cut into 2cm chunks
  • 300g raspberries or strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup plain wholemeal flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons low fat margarine, melted
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Spray a 19x19cm baking dish with spray. Spread the pears and berries over the base.
  3. Make crumble by combining the oats, sugar, flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add the melted margarine and orange juice and combine
  4. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit and bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
