Apple Crumble

This low fat, healthy recipe has a low GI rating and makes for a super dessert. It is super easy and super quick to make and one that the whole family will enjoy.


  • ½ teaspoon mixed spice
  • 3 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup unprocessed bran
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons low fat margarine


  1. Combine the apples and spice and place into a pie dish.
  2. Combine all the crumble ingredients in a food processor and pour over the apple.
  3. Bake in oven at 180 for 30 minutes
